It’s here! Day thirty and the last day of the challenge. I’m pressed to reach through the annals of my memory all the way back to this time last year. In other words, I’m to pick a song that was my favorite back then. Let’s see…this time last year I was going through a mini Leonard Cohen obsession (I mark my life by musical mini obsessions by the way), and I listened to “Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye” quite a lot. No matter how many times I listen to it, I still cannot get over this song’s lyrics. I mean, “Your hair upon the pillow like a sleepy golden storm.” Come on, that’s beautiful imagery right there. So, I call this challenge met, and leave it with the subtle brilliance of Leonard Cohen. Listen here. This has been fun.
