He’s Back
So, I realized the little man hadn’t made an appearance here for a while. He’s been having to share me lately, so I’ve been quite busy. Anyway, here’s some gratuitous Irv lurve. I treated myself to British Vogue and Country Living last night, and naturally Irving thought I had laid out a lovely paper bed for him. (In case I’ve never mentioned it, he has an insane paper fetish. My cat is an odd one.)
At least he has good taste.

This is totally normal family bonding in my house.
Dad and I spent the last few days working with our skeleton friend who has appeared in a series of wet plates from the Studio as well. This is the first time all break I’ve really had enough light and time to mess around with the cameras. It was nice to work with Dad on these. We had a lot of fun, and I think we ended up with some cool shots. Irving enjoyed being studio cat again too.
Here are the two keepers from yesterday:
These were the second day’s efforts:
It’s always nice to spend the day doing what I love with those I love.

Erm… Wednesdays with Irving
So I was in finals hell this past Sunday and did not get to put up a Sundays with Irving post. I am sure you all missed it so much (sarcasm implied). Anyway, I just finished my last assignment and am mere hours from leaving in the small hours of the morning tomorrow. Irv has been so patient with my madness and lack of homage paid over the last couple of weeks. He is being extra sweet and lovely today. This is him listening lazily to Real Estate and lightly patting my foot as I finish up my final edits.

Sundays with Irving
My parents left a few hours ago to make the 10 hour drive back home. Irv had a great time having his “grandparents” here. When I got back up this morning, Irving kept running around searching and meowing at me quizzically. Now he’s moping on his pillow. You’ll get to see them again in three weeks, little guy. Don’t be sad.
Also, this was from earlier in the week. I was cleaning, and suddenly he disappeared. I was standing at my bed, which has drawers, and there was a rustling in the drawer next to me. He was having a snooze in my shirts.

Sundays with Oivey-baby
We had a bit of a night Friday in my apartment with some of the gals. One stayed the night on the old camp cot, and I was too busy and then worn out to put it up yesterday. Irving has been loving that fact and luxuriating on it ever since. I don’t know if I have the heart to put it away until Wednesday when my parents arrive.

Sundays With Irv
As I struggle to get started writing my history assignment, and the apartment is flooded with the delicious smells of a chicken pie baking in the oven, Irving sleeps. It’s times like these that I am jealous of Oiving baby’s cat life. Oh if only my most pressing concerns were whether to nap on the sofa or the cushion.
Sundays with Irv
Because I’m pretty sure I have the most photogenic cat around, and because Sunday is usually the one day I get to spend in its entirety at home, oh, and because I am slowly turning into a crazy cat lady I plan to start a new installment here: “Sundays with Irv.” The point: Irving does cute things while I’m home to see them, I take pictures, and I share them with you every Sunday. Good idea? I think so.
Today Irving managed to dig out a paper ball from under the furniture and wanted to play fetch. Naturally, I had to oblige. Breaks from response papers are acceptable when there is fetch to play, I think.
